Student Journals Guide

This guide is intended as a resource for editors of the student-led journals at the University of Georgia School of Law. It includes frequently asked questions about topic selection, cite checking, ILL, and more.

Checking Out Materials to Journals (Stacking)

Each Journal has been allocated an area on the Main floor for stacking of law library materials. Students are authorized to stack materials to that location. However, all materials must be checked out to the Journal (not to individual students) in order to utilize the stacking location.

If you are a student and would like to check something out to put in stacking, tell someone at the Circulation Desk:

"I want to check out this material to the [insert journal name]."

Date due slips will be provided and should be kept in each book. Overdue notices for items checked out to journals will be emailed to the Managing Editor email address.

Reserve Books Note: Materials on reserve are not available for stacking. Only individual students may check out reserve items for 2 hours at a time.
