Special Collections, Archives, and Preservation (SCAP): Supplies & Services

There is nothing more to the credit of a library than that every man finds in it what he seeks, having failed to find it elsewhere. - Gabriel Naudé (1667)

SUPPLIES

In order to respond as quickly as possible to a disaster, the library should establish an emergency supply area in the Main building and the Annex. Disaster supply areas should contain the materials most useful in the initial response to disaster and for beginning a salvage operation. Other supplies and equipment are available in the library or elsewhere on campus as part of routine operations; they are listed below with their locations. It is also likely in an emergency that the library would make some outside purchases from local merchants or from conservation supply sources.
