Introduction

This guide lists selected current resources available through the University of Georgia Law Library that will help first years survive and prosper in law school.  It includes materials on general law school survival skills as well as materials on each of the subjects in the first year curriculum.  Every book listing includes that item's call number and location in the library. The law library does try to purchase the case books assigned for first year classes; those items are on reserve.  Ask for them at the circulation desk.  We also subscribe to an electronic collection of treatises and nutshells from Westlaw.  You may access those items using your Westlaw password.  On the first page you see after loggin in, follow the Study Aids Subscription link. This guide is a general resource provided by the library.  First year students should also pay particular attention to items placed on reserve by their professors.
