Building Safety & Security Representative (BSSR)

Law School, Bldg. 0043 (Hirsch Hall)

Building Safety Team - representatives from each department in the building

  • Administration - Tina Whitehair
  • Admissions-   Jessica Boston
  • Business Office -  Sandy Ledford
  • Career Development -  Robbie Eddins 
  • Communications - Lona Panter
  • Law Library - Keven Gilbert
  • Registrar/Student Services - Paula McBride

Duties:

  • Appoint Emergency Floor Coordinators
  • Be familiar with the BEAP
  • Report changes in the BEAP to BSSR
  • Report any building safety concerns to BSSR
  • Be aware of individuals with disabilities
  • Monitor development of Business Continuity plans within department
  • Encourage personal preparedness within department
  • Complete assigned tasks on the annual preparedness calendar

Emergency Floor Coordinators - provide coordination for any type of emergency for each floor in the building

  • Law School 1 - Micah Hale
  • Law School 2 - Cyndi Canup
  • Law School 3 - Willimenia Haynes
  • Library 2 - Nina Guzman
  • Annex 1 -   Dan Riggs
  • Annex 2 - Cheryl Solomon
  • Annex 3 - Gracie Waldrup

Duties:

  • Be familiar with the BEAP
  • Report changes in BEAP to BSSR
  • Become familiar with all employees on your floor
  • Be aware of employees on your floor that may require evacuation assistance
  • Be aware of anything unusual in your area (hazardous materials, etc.) and report to BSSR
  • Receive specialized training that includes evacuation procedures and assisting those with special needs.

Dean Rusk Hall, Bldg. 0045
