INTRODUCTION

Locating foreign legislation, especially in translation, can be a challenging hurdle for the foreign and comparative legal researcher. One place to search for foreign legislation is in a compilation of legislation on a specific subject for a number of jurisdictions. In addition, online databases containing subject-specific legislation from multiple jurisdictions can aid the researcher. The list below contains title and access information (call number/location for print, web address for online) for a number of  compilations covering various subjects. Some of these resources also provide access to the text of treaties on the same subject.

The last category, Multi-Subject Collections, lists a few resources providing country-by-country coverage for a number of subjects.
